Northcountry HollyhockI once watched an oil painting demo on TV in which we were told that if we were going to paint a rose to paint the most beautiful rose that ever could be. This Hollyhock certainly wasn't the most beautiful ever but, after being eaten by a deer in my backyard and struggling to come back, I thought it had lot's of character that deserved to be painted.
